Saint-Michel de Grandmont Priory
Saint-Michel de Grandmont Priory, at about a 30-minute drive from Lunas, was founded in the 12th century and is one of the best preserved of its kind. The priory contains a.o. a church with remarkable acoustics, a Romanesque cloister with a charming clock tower and a chapter house with an adjacent provision room.
The park, connected to the priory, offers a nice view on the Hérault area that can reach as far as the Mediterranean. Interesting are also the dolmens and other megalithic remains that can be spotted here.
Can be combined with: Lodève, Lodévois east of the A75, St-Guilhem-le-Désert, Grotte de Clamouse, Lac du Salagou, Salagou Valley.
