Lunas
Lunas is situated halfway between Bédarieux and Lodève, along the river Gravezon. It is a distinctive village with a rich historical heritage, e.g. its 12th-century church and the ruins of the pre-Romanesque chapel of Saint-Georges. It is dominated by a steep and impressive rock, 'the Redondel'. At this strategic height a first fortress was erected in 1118 , but nowadays only some ruins remain. The present castle, on the banks of the Gravezon, dates from 1641. The streams and the little squares, where old sycamores supply shade, give the village centre lots of charm and freshness.
